The Data Science & Engineering (DS&E) team in the Investments division, consisting of Data Engineers and Data Scientists, focuses on making better and more efficient investment decisions through data and technology.

The Investment Bespoke Solutions (IBS) team is a software development team building custom solutions for the Investment division. IBS aims to be as agile as possible – hence we’ve adopted a DevOps way of working. Applications are deployed in Azure and are cloud native by design. The team currently consists of 16 software engineers, supported by 2 product owners, focusing on Equity, Fixed Income, and Sustainable Investing. As the scope of the team and the workload of the product owners has expanded, we’re looking for a Business Analyst to provide support and grow into a product owner role.

The IBS software is used by investment teams, enabling a streamlined and controlled investment process. Some examples are the management of SDG company scores, managing firm-wide exclusions, or creating and managing trades. In addition, the data generated in the process is used for reporting, historical analysis, and to further improve the investment process.

As part of the Data Scientist team in DS&E, your role is to provide business analysis to the IBS team. As such, you support the translation of investment processes into software requirements and deliver this software with IBS.

Position & Requirements

As a Business Analyst / Junior PO, you will support the PO of the Sustainable Investing, Portfolio Engineering, and Fixed Income development teams in managing and delivering our product roadmap. You will play a key role in refining requirements, maintaining a clear and organized backlog, and ensuring our development efforts contribute to business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis :

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements. Analyze data sources to assess accuracy, suitability, and completeness in meeting user requirements. Examples of these activities are :

Backlog Management :

Support the PO in maintaining a clear and comprehensive backlog by preparing, organizing, and prioritizing product backlog items.

Communication & Stakeholder Management :

Assist the PO in maintaining clear communication between stakeholders and development teams. Help prepare project updates, wireframes, demo sessions, and product documentation.

User & Stakeholder Support :

Investigate reported bugs and issues and work with development teams to identify solutions. Gather and analyze user feedback to identify potential for improvements.

Quality Assurance & Testing :

Test if features that are ready for production meet business and technical requirements. Validate if data generated by IBS developed applications is accurate and satisfies requirements.
