Background information
The ASML’s Ethics & Business Integrity (E&BI) team (part of the Legal and Compliance department) is responsible for developing, supervising and strengthening the ethics and business integrity culture of ASML. It raises awareness, provides leadership and expert advice to ensure the development and execution of ethics alongside ASML’s values. It supports the business, providing recommendations and enabling it to take informed decision, whilst striving to protect ASML. The E&BI team also strives to promote the observance of the policies and is the guardian of ASML’s Code of Conduct, Speak Up Policy, Human Rights Policy and Anti-Fraud and Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies.
The Ethics Office key responsibilities include :
Managing and monitoring the ASML Ethics, Human Rights, AF and ABC Programs on a day-to-day basis;
Maintaining the policies and documents supporting these programs;
Raises awareness and encourages understanding and compliance with the ASML Code of Conduct and Business Principles and ASML Speak Up Policy;
Acts as lead coordinator for Ethics Complaints investigations and cooperates with the investigators (as mandated by the Ethics Committee);
Supporting the Third Party Risk Management Program and the business providing expert advise to business, while interacting with Third Parties.
Your assignment
The Ethics Office is looking for an intern to support its team in day to day matters. The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Assist in the development and roll-out of new compliance trainings as well as monitoring and tracking of training completion rate;
Assist with the preparation of company wide ethics awareness communication initiatives and the organization of ethics awareness events (this may involve arranging speakers, large virtual sessions);
Assist the team in compliance policy related projects;
Management of the incoming Third Party Due Diligence requests;
Assistance in preparing reports, presentations and updates for relevant internal stakeholders.
Your profile
To be the perfect match for this internship, you :
Are a bachelor or master student in Legal and Compliance, with a strong interest and / or affinity with topics as bribery, corruption and fraud;
Are looking for an apprentice internship to gain work experience;
Are available for minimum 10 months (student enrollment during the entire internship duration is required), for minimum 4 days per week (2 days on-site);
Have excellent English skills, both written and verbal.
The start date of this internship is as of September 2024.
