Joining AXA XL as an experienced Underwriter you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering innovative and tailored underwriting services. Our approach ensures that each risk is treated as unique, providing our clients and brokers with a market-leading experience.

In your underwriting role, you will be responsible for writing new and renewal business for a broad range of clients.This will involve ensuring alignment with the agreed Business Plan to foster a profitable book of business, all that by adhering to Rules and Guidelines and Regional Underwriting Strategy. Your role is pivotal in strengthening relationships with AXA XL’s clients & brokers. This will be achieved through close collaboration with our existing lines of business, while also contributing to our company’s sustainability commitment by underwriting energy transition-related projects.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Take ownership of financial performance metrics, and drive initiatives to ensure our profitably.
• Reviewing submissions including policy wording, survey reports and financial reports while conducting appropriate research to determine the degree of risk for each account.
• Underwriting and growing the Benelux Construction insurance portfolio. Take initiatives to generate new business opportunities.
• Calculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector and using the adequate Pricing tool.
• Proactively advising, assisting, servicing, and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfilment of their insurance requirements.
• Effective relationship management to initiate opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention.
• Working closely with our Energy underwriters to adhere to our Sustainability goals.
• Controlling the timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards with a specific focus on the quality of data.
• Supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
• Maintaining awareness of all claims advised
