Senior Contract Manager

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads and contractors.
  • Supports Project Managers and Project Services in negotiating and awarding contracts, pre- and post-FID.
  • Protects company interests through warranty enforcement, risk mitigation, claims management, and contract oversight.
  • Contract management - Pre-Award :

Develops contracting strategies and tender plans.

  • Issues ITTs, organizes pre-bid meetings, and evaluates bids (technical and commercial).
  • Leads contract drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensures compliance with governance, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Provides market insights and negotiation guidance.
  • Contract management - Post-Award :

    • Manages contract execution and ensures compliance.

  • Monitors contractor performance, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Handles variations, change orders, and claims.
  • Supports dispute resolution and contract close-out.
  • Coordinates with finance on invoicing, cost control, and reporting.
  • Promotes contractual awareness within project teams.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

    • Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in either engineering, legal, commerce, business, supply chain management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contracts management environment within the construction, engineering, Oil & Gas industry / Energy storage industry. Experience with renewable energy projects is welcome.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, able to identify and effectively priorities workload and successfully meet multiple, often competing deadlines pro-active worker with a solutions-oriented approach, demonstrating initiative and ownership of deliverables.
  • Hands-on practical approach and willingness to support team activities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
