As a Lead Developer at Verne Health, you will take a central role in designing, developing, and optimizing our software solutions. You will provide technical leadership to the development team, set coding standards, and drive architectural decisions. This position requires a balance of hands-on coding and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality software.

This full-time role is hybrid, with flexible remote work options and an office in Amersfoort.

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of APIs and back-end systems using Laravel.
  • Oversee database optimization and application performance with MySQL.
  • Provide technical guidance to the development team and conduct regular code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and front-end developers to deliver seamless solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Drive architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional growth.
  • Maintain and create technical documentation.

Jouw profiel

  • At least 5 years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on Laravel.
  • Proven experience in leading development teams and managing projects.
  • Proficiency in Laravel, MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of front-end principles and experience collaborating with front-end teams.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git, CI / CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar deployment tools.
  • Interest in or experience within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
