The supervisor is a leading member of the Core Team and provides coaching leadership to a group of warehouse employees consisting of permanent staff and temporary workers. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the team achieves the set goals in the areas of personnel, quality, productivity, and costs.
The supervisor maintains executive-level contacts with the customer, provides necessary information, and is co-responsible for achieving good cooperation with the customer and other internal departments. If necessary, escalates issues to the General Manager.
The supervisor initiates and actively contributes to improvement projects.
The supervisor has a helicopter view and is able to make the right decisions fully in the interest of the operation.
Main Tasks
Responsible for the proper functioning of the team
- Leads the team with the help of 2 team leaders to whom he / she delegates tasks
- Is responsible for achieving the established KPIs of the team and the organization
- Exemplifies core behaviors and serves as a role model
- Monitors the process including the distribution of tasks among team members, and ensures adequate adjustments
- Ensures that deadlines are met
- Contributes to the development of employees
- Conducts performance reviews and appraisals
- Implements the sickness absence policy, including sickness absence meetings with support from HR
- Performs other HR-related (administrative) tasks concerning the team
- Holds process improvement meetings
