As a PLC Software Engineer at Skytree, you will develop (automated) control and electrical systems for the Skytree CO2 capture machines. You will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, conduct analysis, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations to deliver innovative CO2 capture machines.

You can leverage your expertise to support our long-term product roadmap, whilst having a hands-on aproach to programming and testing our machinery, including at our Almere assembly site. Some travel may be required, once our solutions get deployed and commissioned internationally. We expect most of the work to take place at our Amsterdam office. We currently use Siemens S7 PLC’s / Step 7 (TIA Portal).

Your experience will help create reliable and efficient electrical / control systems that meet the requirements of our customers and contribute to the overall success of Skytree’s CO2 capture machines.

You'll make an impact by...

  • Control system design and related (PLC) software engineering
  • Selecting and evaluating components and subsystems to meet product requirements
  • Working on testing, debugging and launching new prototypes of SkyTree CO2 capture machines
  • Aid in simulations and modeling for system validation and optimization
  • Preparing necessary documentation, reports, and test plans for certification purposes

What we're looking for

  • You have a (Bsc) degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 6+ years relevant experience, designing and developing (automated) control systems for complex industrial equipment
  • Proven experience with Siemens PLC’s, knowledge of other systems (i.e. Allen-Bradley) is considered an advantage
  • In-depth relevant programming skills (ST, LD, WinCC et cetera)
  • Broader automation related knowledge and skills (SCADA / HMI) are considered a strong plus
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and hands-on approach to work
  • Based in The Netherlands or willing to relocate.
  • You’re willing to travel, possibly internationally, in the near future
