We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our finance team and ensure compliance with tax regulations while optimizing our tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
Tax Compliance & Reporting :
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes in the Benelux region.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with local, and international tax laws.
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support tax filings and audits.
Tax Planning & Strategy :
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities.Provide tax advice and guidance on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border activities.Collaborate with senior management to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.Audit & Risk Management :
Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities during audits and inquiries.Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax positions and defend against potential disputes.Team Collaboration & Leadership :
Work closely with the finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.Mentor and guide junior team members, providing training and support on tax-related matters.Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the tax function.Stakeholder Communication :
Prepare and present tax reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.Build strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.2-3 years of experience in tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big 4 accounting firm.Experience in the manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment industry is a plus.Skills & Competencies :
In-depth knowledge of Dutch and international tax laws and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Language Requirements :
Fluent in English (spoken and written).Other Requirements :
Dutch citizenship or EU work authorization.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer :
