We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Sales Manager to head commercial initiatives and lead client acquisition for cutting-edge IoT remote monitoring solutions in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors .
In this Amsterdam-based role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to build and execute commercial strategies, expand market presence, and drive key account growth—both nationally and internationally. Note : This role requires native or near-native Dutch, and fluency in English.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the commercial strategy to expand market share across the Netherlands and international markets.
- Build and nurture high-value client relationships , from prospecting through negotiation and closing.
- Manage the full sales cycle for IoT monitoring solutions with long lead times and complex decision-making processes.
- Develop and coach a growing sales team, setting performance targets, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
- Drive key account growth and retention through a consultative sales approach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to tailor solutions to client needs.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform sales strategy and positioning.
- Provide regular forecasting, reporting, and pipeline updates to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
around 10 years of B2B sales experience in technical, capital goods or IoT-based solutions , ideally in the Oil & Gas , Energy , or Industrial Technology sectors.Proven track record in leading sales initiatives and closing high-value deals in long sales cycles .Native or near-native Dutch and fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to influence and build trust at all levels.Strong business acumen and the ability to develop strategic sales plans.Experience with CRM systems , digital prospecting tools, and modern sales methodologies.Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and international projects as needed.Experience working in scale-up environments or rapidly growing technology firms would be a plusBackground in leading or mentoring junior sales professionals.Why Join Us?
