Sustainability Intern (Living Income Modelling)

Job Profile

Help us operationalize our already developed Living Income Model. This model calculates the income of each farmer and compares it with living income benchmarks used in the industry, to do this we leverage farm-level data about the agronomic practices of farmers, their finances, and their socioeconomic characteristics.

We are looking for an intern to support us in leveraging powerful data-based insights for the living income component of our sustainability agenda. At ofi we have built one the largest and most compelling cocoa farmer datasets in the world, containing multi-dimensional agronomic, socio-economic, and geographic data. As intern, you will help leveraging this rich data to generate powerful insights that will support our strategic approach with cocoa farmers worldwide. You will learn from our multi-disciplinary team of experts spread across the Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia and you will have the opportunity to access and analyze one of the most compelling datasets in the sector.

Your responsibilities

You will directly support the Sustainability and Productivity Research Manager and the Living Income expert of the Cocoa Sustainability department in the following activities :

• Gathering, customizing, cleaning, and analyzing selected data from the Olam Farmer Information System (OFIS).
• Use data exploratory and visualization methods to find trends and hotspots across socioeconomic and agronomic data points linked to sustainability metrics.
• Help us implement the calculations of our already developed Living Income Model

Your benefits
