UTR8 Group is a young, fast-growing, and successful international trading firm founded in 2011. We trade exclusively for our own account in stocks and options, no clients involved. With offices in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and the Cayman Islands, we are active in financial markets across the globe.

Job Description

This role is a unique opportunity for a multi-talented individual who wants to kickstart their career in finance / accounting!

As the Junior Accountant at UTR8, you will be the key player in managing the “non-trading” activities of our business.

As a Junior Accountant at UTR8, you will :

  • Be the main point of contact for our accounts payable function
  • Handle and process payments across multiple entities
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Play an active role in improving our financial organization
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly closings and prepare financial reports
  • Learn the ins and outs of IFRS, Dutch GAAP and HKFRS
  • Support the (assistant) controller with various tasks and projects

These tasks will cover all of our business entities, so the international aspect will be a key part of your day-to-day work.

Candidate Profile

You are :

  • You’re currently studying or have a degree at MBO+ or HBO level in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • You have some hands-on experience in finance or admin work – or you’re eager to learn!
  • You are motivated and quick to get up to speed with new processes
  • You take initiate, work in a structured way, and have an eye for detail
  • You aim for top-quality work and care about getting results
  • You’re a clear and confident communicator in English (Dutch is a bonus!)
  • You thrive in a young, informal company culture and enjoy working with a close-knit team
  • You are up to challenges and eager to work in an international environment

  • Salary : €18,90 per hour (including holiday allowance) + end-of-year bonus
