We are currently looking for Application Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations in law enforcement.

Your tasks :

Application installation configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
Application monitoring performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
Applications support and maintenance activities such as incident change release and problem resolution;
Writing and validating application procedures manuals including troubleshooting guides backup and restore plans;
Automating administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
Contributing to the structuring maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
Reporting on application availability performance capacity and overall usage where required.

Qualifications : Who are you :

Mandatory :

Bachelors degree plus a minimum of 9 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid / large IT infrastructure environments including deployment support and maintenance of applications.

Working knowledge of English (level B2 or higher)

6 years of experience as an IT professional in mid / large IT infrastructure environments including deployment support and maintenance of applications

5 years of experience in application administration

2 years of experience with microservices container orchestration and container-based stacks (e.g. Docker or Kubernetes)

2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch

5 years of experience with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions

Good knowledge of deployment and administration of Elasticsearch clusters

Good knowledge of microservices container orchestration and container-based stacks using Kubernetes Helm charts Docker and Rancher

Good knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet Ansible Chocolatey)

Good knowledge of shell and / or PowerShell scripting

Good knowledge of ITIL processes including incident change and release management

Desirable Requirements

2 years of experience with Public or Hybrid Cloud services and solutions (e.g. Azure or AWS)

Good knowledge of DEVOPS methodologies and tools

Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL PostgreSQL) and how they interact with applications

Good knowledge of Kong API Gateway

Good knowledge of Azure or AWS

Certifications in any of the mentioned technologies
