Field Service Engineer Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer at TECS you will operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Your main responsibilities include the installation repair and maintenance of Woodward control equipment at client locations both within the Netherlands and internationally. Assignments may last a single day or extend over several days or weeks depending on project scope. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Install troubleshoot and maintain Woodward mechanical hydraulic and electronic control systems.Prepare for assignments by reviewing work orders technical documentation and safety requirements.Perform scheduled maintenance upgrades and retrofits at customer sites.Conduct risk assessments and comply with safety protocols.Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients.Collaborate with engineering workshop and service teams.Complete service reports and maintain accurate records.Participate in oncall rotation (standby duty) every eight weeks for emergency repairs.Compensation & Benefits
Fixed salary : gross per month depending on experience and qualifications.Total earning potential : Up to 7500 per month including bonuses and extra allowances.27 vacation days 13 additional (ATV) days.Intensive onboarding with theoretical and practical training.Full training in all products and systems within three years.Competitive benefits in line with the Metalectro Collective Agreement.Extensive training and career advancement opportunities.Job Requirements
Associate or bachelor (HBO) degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Energy Technology or similar.Experience in a technical role is a plus but not required.VCAVOL certification required (or willingness to obtain).Valid driver s license (B).English fluency required; Dutch is a plus.Willingness and medical fitness for Nogepa 0.5 (H.U.E.T) training.Flexibility pragmatism and a nononsense attitude.Emotional stability and strong time management skills.Willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed.Valid Dutch / EU work permit.Ideal Candidate Profiles
Technical professionals with handson experience in marine industrial or energy sectors.Militarytrained technicians (Navy Army Air Force) with experience in maintenance troubleshooting and safety.Aviation maintenance industrial automation instrumentation offshore and heavy equipment technicians with valid work permits are also highly encouraged to apply.Candidates with practical problemsolving skills and strong customer orientation.How to Apply
