Functions :

Product Development intern acts as a trainee of all new food product development activities from the concept stage to completion as a lab assistant and is responsible for assisting in managing projects according to specific needs and per methodology defined by the product developer.

PD intern learns to develop product formulas, prototypes, and finished products that meet the targeted product profiles in various product formats. Acquire strong experience and knowledge about multiple product categories and their processing.

Responsibilities :

Support the product development (PD) team through organization, preparation, and maintenance of raw material stock, equipment, and packaging. Work is performed primarily in a laboratory environment.

  • Organization and maintenance of raw materials, flavor library, and additives.
  • Restock lab ingredients.
  • Preparation of samples and products.
  • Lab organization.
  • Assist product developers during the development process.

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and procedures.
  • HBO / MBO / Bachelor B.Sc student in food science & technology, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Production and Preservation, Food Physics, Food Microbiology, Food engineering, Food Production Chains, Laboratory Safety
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective organization and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Effective oral and written communication (English).
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers & management.
  • Availability for 6 months or more as of 07-2025
