About Our Data Team

Delivering insightful, actionable data solutions is at the core of our Data Team’s mission. We use technical expertise and business insights to gather, transform, store, and distribute data that empowers our teams and partners to deliver exceptional streaming experiences.

We collaborate across departments, continuously evolving robust, scalable, and reliable platforms that simplify complex data workflows. Our solutions support critical business decisions—from helping content teams determine the best acquisitions, enabling marketers to create targeted campaigns, assisting finance in validating spend, to optimizing external marketing integrations guiding investments of millions of euros.

Our infrastructure is built on Azure , where we use a Kubernetes cluster to host packages that collect raw data. This data is then processed by Databricks , running and orchestrating Spark batch workflows. Transformed data is stored in an Azure SQL database , where Power BI brings it to life with dashboards and reports.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Data Engineer at BeyondDutch, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling our data ecosystem. You will :

  • Extract and integrate data from diverse sources (marketing platforms, internal / external databases, streaming playtime data).
  • Build, monitor, and maintain reliable Spark pipelines.
  • Design and manage SQL databases, writing efficient queries and ensuring performance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with peers to design and implement the right tooling for our evolving data landscape.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems, including connectors deployed on Kubernetes.
  • Contribute across the full engineering lifecycle : version control, CI / CD, testing, and code reviews.

  • Embrace robust engineering practices (version control, CI / CD, pair programming).
  • Have experience building scalable, distributed systems capable of processing millions of records.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Bring at least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Are proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, and familiar with orchestration and monitoring tools.
  • Speak Dutch and English at B1 level or above.
  • Bonus : Experience with Databricks is a plus!
