Are you an embedded engineer that loves enabling everything hardware has to offer? Are you keen to learn and apply your talents for developing smart buildings technology that is used daily by thousands of users? If you have experience with microcontrollers and embedded C and looking for a challenge, then we are looking for that engineer!

So, what will you be working on?

In this role you will work together in a multi-disciplinary team on the development of new products and product-features. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and good technical skills are key. Specifically, you will be responsible for the development of the embedded software at the heart of our solutions. You will enable light and climate control systems through a smart decentralised system. You will bring new features to life on our hardware and embedded systems. In addition, you will be developing the control algorithms and develop test scenarios / software to validate before market release.

You will be working :

Bluetooth Mesh
Lighting and climate control functionality & algorithms
Device-device communication (wireless and serial & bus systems)
Smart implementations for easy and secure device provisioning
Firmware update mechanisms
Test setups for automated deployment tests
Test cases to do long-term analysis

Is this you?

You have 0-3 years of hands-on experience in embedded C development for microcontrollers.

Got experience on Bluetooth (mesh), Zephyr RTOS, Nordic MCU or similar? That’s what we use!

You are capable to design and implement C code

Use product requirements to investigate and design the software architecture and communication protocols

Develop, debug and test for creating high quality software of embedded (microcontroller) devices

Experience with wireless protocols and real time operating systems is a plus

Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources

You know what it takes to finish and deliver something

You are analytical and can identify issues in (software) design and application behaviour

A challenge doesn’t get you down, you keep searching for solutions

You have experience with electronics / hardware and don’t mind getting hands-on

Experience with git and working in agile team

Good working knowledge of English (written and verbal)

Currently based in the Netherlands
