Information Security Officer

Our client, a governmental organisation in logistics, is seeking an Information Security Officer to test and manage IT information security risks and help safeguard our client against cyber threats.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure timely reduction of cyber risks that could impact train traffic safety and implement appropriate measures.
  • Report on the status of cyber risks and mitigation efforts.
  • Participate in awareness programs to enhance information security awareness and behavior.
  • Advise on translating policy into clear cybersecurity guidelines and requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the ICT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) department in areas such as security monitoring, identity and access management (IAM), and public key infrastructure (PKI).
  • Act as the point of contact for cybersecurity within your department and contribute to the improvement of the Cybersecurity department.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level with extensive experience as an Information Security Officer.
  • Knowledge of risk management and standards frameworks such as ISO27001 / BIO.
  • Experience in checking, recording, and reporting on risks and following up on them.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to understand the organization and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent advisory and communication skills, providing clear and useful advice.
  • Strong analytical skills and initiative, with a commitment to ongoing self-development.
  • Possession of certificates such as SSCP, ISO27001 implementer, and CISSP, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Fluency in Dutch (required)

  • Gross monthly salary between € 5000 and €7000 based on 36 hours per week.
