Lead Engineer Subsea Cabling

Short description

One of our clients is seeking a dynamic Lead Engineer to drive their subsea cabling team forward. In this role, you will take charge of large-scale offshore cable installation projects, ensuring smooth execution from planning to completion.

Based in Breda, this position also involves working abroad on vessels and project sites, where your expertise will be crucial in optimizing and implementing method statements on the ground.

Function description

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for the engineering, preparation, and execution of our projects;
• Developing method statements for the works to be executed offshore;
• Reviewing deliverables from the engineering department;
• Developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project;
• When on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary;
• Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively responding to questions from the project management;
• Ensuring planning, reporting, budget control, and cost monitoring.
