Job Overview
The Financial Manager will oversee the financial operations of two Dutch BV holding companies within an International Real Estate Investment Group, focusing on logistics real estate segment. This role is responsible for IFRS-compliant financial reporting, robust internal controls, tax compliance, and efficient consolidation processes. The Financial Manager will provide advice on corporate structuring and manage daily operations. The position demands adaptability, initiative, and cross-border collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Compile interim and year-end consolidated financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare monthly cross-currency management accounts, perform variance analysis, and deliver board-ready reports for the holding companies.
- Review Dutch GAAP financials and ensure compliance with Dutch statutory reporting requirements.
Audit, Tax, and Compliance
Coordinate annual audits for one BV and support group-wide audit deliverables.Oversee preparation of provisional tax computations and review corporate income tax (CIT) and VAT returns.Ensure adherence to Dutch tax regulations and corporate governance standards.Corporate Structuring and Advisory
Provide guidance on cross-border corporate structuring, financing, and investment decisions to optimize tax efficiency and regulatory compliance.Monitor and evaluate new legislation (e.g., IFRS updates) and assess their impact on the companies.Ensure compliance with Dutch substance requirements.Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the two BVs.Support investment decisions through financial modelling and scenario analysis.Operations & Controls
Develop and maintain robust internal control procedures aligned with group policies and Dutch regulations.Oversee payroll functions for the holding companies.Manage process through the use of tools such as Excel, SQL, and applicable financial software.Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal group stakeholders.Support investor reporting and due diligence processes as needed.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 5 years in financial management, with Dutch BV holding companies or real estate investment groups.IFRS Expertise : Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements.Technical Skills : Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and financial systems.Regulatory Knowledge : Good understanding of Dutch tax laws, GAAP, and corporate governance.Language : Fluency in English (written and spoken).Soft Skills : Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as RA (Register Accountant), ACCA, or CPA.Experience with cross-border financial operations or real estate investment structures.Working Conditions
