Job Title : Business Development Manager – (EA - Research Services)

Location : Netherlands (Hybrid)

Industry : Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) / Environmental Services

Overview : A leading international provider of environmental testing and analytical services is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of its operations in the Netherlands. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious individual with strong knowledge of the environmental services sector, particularly in laboratory-based analytical services (e.g., water, soil, air, and waste testing).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across environmental sectors (e.g., industrial, consultancy, government, utilities).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their analytical and regulatory needs.
  • Collaborate closely with laboratory operations and technical teams to tailor service offerings.
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to grow market share and revenue.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales approach.
  • Prepare bids, proposals, and presentations for clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Report regularly on pipeline, KPIs, and business development performance to senior leadership.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management within environmental services, TIC, or a related scientific / technical field.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and testing methodologies (e.g., ISO 17025, EU directives, soil and groundwater regulations).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch.
  • Comfortable working independently, with a solution-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is preferred.
