What will you do as Lead Process Engineer

As Lead Process Engineer, you are responsible for the process design and the implementation supervision of projects within your projects. Our customers are mainly located in the industrial sector and the projects vary from small-scale renovations to mid-scale new construction projects. You often work as part of a multidisciplinary project team together with other disciplines and the project manager. From time to time, you are also responsible for your own projects as a project leader. You also coach new juniors and medior engineers.

The responsibilities of the function are :

  • Translate customer needs into a technical scope and ensure a safe, well-designed process in close collaboration with clients and colleagues;
  • Take responsibility for time, budget, progress, and quality within your discipline across projects;
  • Lead the development of key deliverables such as P&IDs, mass & heat balances, equipment and line lists, process calculations, safety studies, and datasheets;
  • Provide technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team in front-end consultancy, feasibility, concept, and basic engineering projects;
  • Engage with contractors and suppliers, assess offers, supervise execution, and coordinate with external engineering partners and internal teams.

Where you will work

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. Our mission, "Enhancing Society Together," drives us to create a positive impact on the world.

With over 6,800 employees in more than 25 countries, we work together to turn challenges into opportunities and make a real impact on society. We collaborate with leading clients in markets such as infrastructure, climate resilience, renewable energy, decarbonisation of industry, and sustainable mobility.

You will work in the Plant Engineering advisory group. This advisory group is formed by Uticon along with several colleagues from Haskoning. Together, we approximately count 100 colleagues in process, mechanical, EI&A & CSA engineering. Together we work daily on ground-breaking projects, techniques and innovations that contribute to a better future. We support clients in the implementation of multidisciplinary building and process-related issues. We do this mainly with leading multinationals in the Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and R&D industries.

In our projects we also work together with other fields of expertise within the organization, such as building physics, fire safety and project management. Our goal is to achieve good results in a pleasant and collegial way. We act on the front lines of innovations such as Fastlane, energy transition and parametric design. We can apply the knowledge and experience we gain there in sustainable, future-proof facilities throughout our entire project program.
