Data & Collateral Management Analyst

Cardano is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data & Collateral Management Analyst to join our Operations team in Rotterdam. This unique role offers a dual opportunity : you will split your time between two dynamic teams —the Data Management Team (DMT) and the Collateral Management Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career (0–3 years’ experience) who is passionate about working in a fast-paced, data-driven financial environment, eager to develop cross-functional expertise, and looking to build a career in investment operations.

1. Data Management Team

You will work within our growing Data Management Team, helping to support the core data infrastructure of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage static data across Cardano applications.
  • Set up and monitor internal and external data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, SWIFT, ICE).
  • Manage vendor licenses and user access rights.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues logged via TopDesk and Actio.
  • Support regulatory reporting (e.g., MiFID, ISAE 3402 data gathering).
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Data Governance, Engineering, Quants, and ABS.
  • Contribute to UAT testing, process documentation, and business change analysis.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI.

2. Collateral Management Team

You’ll also work closely with the Collateral Management team, supporting the daily execution of margin and collateral obligations for client derivatives and bond positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute bilateral and cleared collateral and margin calls across global counterparties.
  • Monitor and validate collateral positions with custodians and counterparties.
  • Interpret and apply ISDA / CSA documentation in operational processes.
  • Stay informed of regulatory and market developments (e.g., central clearing requirements).
  • Contribute to projects focused on process optimization and risk management.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Support the onboarding / offboarding process and broader operational activities.

    • Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field (HBO or equivalent).
  • 0–3 years of experience in a financial operations, middle office, or data role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or Power BI is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and collateral processes desirable.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and willing to take ownership.
  • Effective communicator in both Dutch and English.
  • A team player with a flexible mindset.
