Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V., a Petrogas E&P LLC subsidiary, is part of the exploration and production arm of the privately held, Oman headquartered MB Holding Group of Companies. Petrogas E&P was established in 1999, initially focusing on improving recovery from mature oil fields in Oman. Petrogas E&P nowadays is operating over 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and holds exploration and production interests in Oman, Netherlands, Egypt, UK and Denmark.
Petrogas E&P Netherlands B.V., through its predecessors, has been active in the Netherlands since the mid-1960’s and has been operating oil and natural gas production since 1982. Currently natural gas is produced from 5 offshore production facilities in the A / B-blocks. As part of the CCS effort, Petrogas is also working on a CO2 storage project. In previously operated oil fields Petrogas Transportation B.V. also owns and operates the P9 / Q1 oil transmission systems and various other inter-field gas transmission infrastructure.
Vacancy overview :
Petrogas is looking to recruit a broadly skilled development geologist or reservoir engineer to lead the Subsurface projects and production team, focusing on reservoir development and management. The team currently consists of 3 geologists and 2 engineers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, delivering quality subsurface technical support to the Petrogas organization in order to develop new gas and oil fields or infill potential in the Dutch and UK North Sea sector and managing production of producing assets. CCS projects are also a focus area.
The candidate will bring strong analytical, project management, communication and leadership skills and has hands-on expert skills in either the area of development geology or reservoir engineering with substantial operational experience. Experience with CCS projects is a plus.
You have well developed skills / knowledge around the integration of all types of subsurface data, reservoir uncertainty management, well planning and operations. The candidate will also need at least a good understanding of disciplines like seismic interpretation, sedimentology, reservoir modeling, petrophysics and production forecasting.
