Azure Data Engineer

As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest Financial Clients , I am seeking for an Azure Data Engineer for a position in Amstelveen, Netherlands . The successful candidate will be working primarily as a data engineer to develop and implement data pipelines, streaming based integrations that deliver / consume data from multiple sources, apply needed transformations and transfer the data to target systems. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing data solutions that are deployed in the Azure cloud using a variety of technologies such as : ADLS Gen2, Databricks, Azure Functions, Apache Kafka, EventHub to name a few.

Must have :

2-3 years of experience in Big Data Technologies : PySpark and Databricks
2-3 years of experience in Programming Languages : Python and SQL
2-3 years of experience with Storage : ADLS Gen2

Nice to have :

2-3 years of experience in or knowledge of in data architecture concepts : Data management (Data retention / archiving, Data quality control etc.), Data cataloguing (metadata management, data lineage), Data governance, Monitoring and maintenance, Access & authorization

2-3 years of experience with cloud Technologies like Microsoft Azure (DevOps, Boards, Git repositories, Pipelines) or AWS

Knowledge or willingness to learn : Workflow Automation : Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow

Contract : 12+ months

Interview : 2 stages, 1 technical + 1 assessment
