Job Opportunity : Electrical Lead Engineer

Location : Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

About the Role :

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Lead Engineer to join to our client's engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in detailed engineering, particularly in greenfield projects and offshore platform design.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and coordinate a team of electrical engineers and designers in detailed engineering projects.
  • Oversee the development of electrical systems for greenfield Low Voltage (LV) power distribution.
  • Contribute to the design of offshore platforms and HV substations.
  • Prepare specifications, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for LV systems such as MCCs, switchgear, UPS systems, and LV distribution boards.
  • Conduct electrical system studies and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Deliver detailed design documentation including :
  • Cable lists
  • LV distribution block diagrams
  • Small power, lighting, and earthing layouts
  • Termination diagrams
  • Installation hookup drawings
  • Mounting typicals

Requirements :

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering company.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar lead engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of MV and HV power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with LV systems including switchgear, UPS, and distribution boards.
  • Proficient in using tools such as ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant Instrumentation.
  • Conversant with international and national standards : IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API, etc.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
