Transport Planner

The role

In thisrole, you will be mainly focused on executing the network planning to ensuretimely and cost-effective transportation solutions for our interregionaltransport across Europe.

To achievethese objectives, you'll need a comprehensive overview of daily tray-typestocks, aligning with weekly forecast expectations and a deep understanding oftransport and depot agreements. Building strong communication channels will becrucial, as you bridge the gap between offices, depots, and transporters tofoster collaboration.

Crafting andimplementing operational plans, based on forecasts and stock levels, will beessential for on-time deliveries. Additionally, you'll be at the forefront ofcost-effective and Sustainable transportation such as Intermodal and Biofuel,serving as the main contact for stakeholders in various regions and ensuringtransparent communication.

As an activeparticipant in transport capacity acquisition, you are up to date on marketprices, monitor trends, and provide insights into cost-saving alternatives.This may involve identifying new lanes and agreements to optimize our transportnetwork.

Beyond theseresponsibilities, you'll handle essential administrative tasks critical foreffective and efficient transport organization. This includes establishingtransporter relations in our logistics system, verifying the completion ofagreed transports, following up Transport KPI´s and reporting to theForecasting and Demand planner and our procurement department. Your proactiveattitude will be valued as you actively follow up on administrative tasksassociated with transport operations.

You need to managevarious stakeholders and lots of real-time-data across different departmentsand regions. Therefore, you have a proven track record in stakeholdermanagement and take ownership and responsibility for the planning. Furthermore,you have excellent communication skills, a good understanding of transport andlogistics, and you can withstand stressful situations and adapt if necessary.

Further :

• You have at least a higher professional education (HBO / Bachelor) level of work and thinking preferably in Logistics.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a related environment ( international freight forwarding or supply or demand cross regional challenges).
• Proficient IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• You have proficiency in English, spoken and written. An additional language is beneficial preferably (, Dutch, German, Spanish or French).
