Position Summery
We are seeking a Accounting Manager to strengthen our Finance & Accounting department. The role requires overseeing financial reporting, managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis.
The Accounting Manager will be part of our Finance & Accounting team in Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands, South-Holland) and will be working in a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative working culture.
Description of the work
Leadership and organizing
- organizing and tuning of the work within the assigned department
- organize the work (prioritisation based on reporting planning) with the aim of optimum commitment of people, materials and resources
- monitor progress, point of contact in case of problems (failure or stagnation), initiate corrective measures if necessary
- oversee compliance with the (administrative) procedures
- monitor quality of work undertaken
- in case of over or under allocation intervene in the process through timely corrective measures (e.g. overtime, arrange extra manpower etc.)
- training and qualification of the employees of the department
- on the basis of reviews journal entry check and approving bookings by subordinates in the system
Analysis and advice
analyzing and monitoring of business processes from a financial perspectivein consultation with leading performing internal audits, inter alia focused on cost control and – monitoring and analysis of budgets versus realitydoing proposals aimed at improving the internal procedures and reporting and after approval by senior drafting and implementing related proceduresFinancial administration
give execution to debtors and creditors administrationprocessing and posting various financial datamanage applications, compute and handling of subsidies on ad-hoc and periodic basisvarious (correction) creating and posting of journal entriessupervise and monitor credit invoicing customer services by departmentcontribution to the monthly preparation of balance sheet and profit & loss account and additional reports of the companyproviding data for consolidation balance sheet and profit & loss account and other reports for the KONI groupcontribution in the preparation of budgets, Strategic and Operating Plan (financial part) and processing them in reportspreparation of tax declarations such as corporation tax, VAT and intra-Community suppliesdelivery of data to the Central Bureau of statisticEssential Responsibilities

Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., ACCA) is preferredMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance rolesProven experience in a leadership or managerial positionStrong knowledge of accounting principles and Tax and financial regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented and highly organizedAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong ethical standards and integrityAbility to lead and motivate a teamProficiency in English is requiredKnowledge of Dutch is a plusWhat we offer?
