About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Naval Architecture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ship design and delivery of tender packages.
The role involves developing naval architecture design solutions into a set of requirements during pre-contract activities. You will collaborate closely with the Tender Manager, Proposal Engineer, Draftsman, and other departments to support the technical definition of Damen Naval's offerings.
- Perform design and development activities
- Contribute to and execute requirements analysis, concept generation, general arrangement design, weight estimations, stability calculations, resistance and propulsion calculations, and main ship balances
- Evaluate new (sub)concepts and prepare corresponding reports
- Write technical documents, specifications for equipment, contract specifications, reports, and make presentations to visualize calculations, concepts, and reporting data
- Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders to include input in specialized calculations
- Liaise with internal departments for optimized project results

A Master or Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldAt least three years of experience in design concepts and practicesExpertise in technologically advanced design & proposal processes and integration of combat systemsExcellent command of the English language (written and verbal)Permanent EU citizenship and passportBenefits :
