About the Role
As the Project Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing initiatives created by Women in Quantum Development (WIQD), an initiative at the University of Amsterdam that focuses on supporting and advancing the careers of women and non-binary individuals in quantum science and technology. Given the underrepresentation of women and non-binary individuals in senior roles, WIQD is dedicated to helping them envision and build long-term careers in this field. Our mission is to connect, support, and retain gender minorities through networking and community-building efforts, fostering a quantum sector where everyone feels included and valued. WIQD addresses inequality and promotes inclusion through events, trainings, and collaboration.
In this role, you will oversee several projects, including the key task of organizing a mentorship pilot program in partnership with a German organization. You will also coordinate the Annual WIQD Symposium scheduled for May 22, , in collaboration with the WIQD team and the Organizing Committee. Additionally, you will manage inspirational trainings and events for mentees and mentors across the Netherlands.

Our offer
We offer a temporary employment contract for 32 hours per week for a period of 12 months. The preferred starting date is 1 November or sooner.
The gross monthly salary, based on 38 hours per week and dependent on relevant experience, ranges between € 3, to € 5, (scale 10).This does not include 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% year-end allowance. The UFO profile Project leader 1 is applicable. For this position we can not sponsor a visa. The Collective Labour Agreement of Universities of the Netherlands is applicable.
