We are looking for a  Chief Engineer  to join our vessel crew. As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems onboard. You will lead the engine room team, ensure compliance with international regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate the Second Engineer, Third Engineer, and Electrician;
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of the engine room and all technical installations;
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and spare parts inventory;
  • Manage engine room personnel, including training and performance management;
  • Submit monthly technical reports to the Fleet department;
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime laws and Jumbo’s Management System (JMS).

TASKS

INCLUDE

  • Planning and supervising maintenance activities;
  • Maintaining all technical equipment onboard;
  • Managing stock control of spare parts and equipment;
  • Delegating tasks and overseeing engine room operations.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

    AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Maritime Academy with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in Shipping and Heavy Lift operations or on an offshore vessel as Chief Engineer;
  • In-depth knowledge of Flag State and International Maritime Rules and Regulations;
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Marine Engineering;
  • Proficient in stock and spare part administration;
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills; team-oriented mindset;
  • Proficient in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
