The Buyer / Planner is responsible for developing and managing a supply base to support R&D, Production, and Service needs. This role creates and implements commodity strategies that align with future supply and technology requirements. By building strong supplier relationships, the Buyer / Planner works to improve performance in Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery (SCQD). Additional responsibilities include sourcing commodity items, developing and implementing supply chain processes, and utilizing ERP planning tools to support demand management strategies for assigned commodities.

What You’ll do :

• Maintain an uninterrupted supply and inventory of products to meet operating plan objectives, including inventory turns, safety stock targets, and service levels.
• Responsible for MRP and demand planning implementation and execution, including purchase order creation for all assigned commodities.
• Collaborate with the Global Sourcing Team to identify and select suppliers capable of meeting established part and material requirements.
• Drive key supplier performance to meet Provisur's sourcing and business goals, including productivity, working capital, lead time reduction, cost-out goals, and quality / delivery improvements.
• Negotiate and implement supply agreements with suppliers to align with Provisur's strategic objectives.
• Become an expert in the economic landscape, competitive positioning, and supply base for procured products, with insight into the best-in-region suppliers for each commodity.
