Key Responsibilities

Electrical Works Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate all on-site electrical construction activities.
  • Ensure electrical installations meet technical specifications, codes, and project standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors, supporting methodology, sequencing, and quality control.
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and installation procedures.
  • Support commissioning readiness and participate in system walkdowns.

Project Interface & Coordination

  • Manage interface between electrical contractors, vendors, and other disciplines (SIMOPS).
  • Coordinate power and data installations for temporary site facilities.
  • Work closely with scaffolding, quality, and construction teams to streamline execution.

    • Quality Assurance

  • Ensure electrical work complies with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and project QA standards.
  • Support inspections, documentation, and resolution of non-conformities.

    • Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track electrical contractor progress and productivity.
  • Assist in daily / weekly reporting and flag additional work beyond contract scope.
  • Contribute to constructability reviews and suggest efficient installation methods.

    • Safety Oversight (Electrical-Focused)

  • Enforce safety protocols related to electrical work, including permit-to-work systems.
  • Participate in HSE inspections and support a safe working environment without taking on HSE’s full scope.

    • Requirements

    Essential

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of site-based experience in electrical construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven work history in the Botlek / Rotterdam region.
  • Fully fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, installation practices, and system integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead electrical teams, coordinate vendors, and ensure installation quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experienced in technical reporting.
  • VCA-VOL certification (mandatory).

    • Desirable

  • Additional certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fire Safety).
  • Experience managing projects on behalf of the client.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Quantity contracts and multicultural project teams.
