Labeau was formed from a merger announced in February 2024 between Hark / Sion and Microflor. The company specializes in the breeding and propagation of young ornamental plants, with Phalaenopsis being its largest product. With around 950 employees and locations across Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Turkey and the Netherlands, Labeau is the second largest breeding company for Phalaenopsis worldwide.
As Group Finance Manager , you will lead the finance and accounting activities for the Labeau Group , which operates in the Netherlands (head office), Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, and Turkey.
You will play a vital role in the financial transition resulting from the recent merger, helping to reshape and future-proof the organization’s financial structure.
Your role ?
Accounting
- You will oversee and coach the accounting teams across the group.
- You’ll ensure consistent accounting practices are applied across all countries.
- You will advise on complex accounting matters and ensure proper treatment.
- You’ll take the lead in improving financial systems and streamlining processes.
- You’ll drive the implementation of ERP systems across multiple regions.
Reporting
You’ll ensure that financial reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with all relevant regulations.You will manage the group’s monthly and annual consolidation process under Dutch GAAP, including the preparation and audit of financial statements.You will deliver strategic financial insights to the leadership team to support data-driven decision-making.Financial Control
You’ll oversee tax compliance, treasury, and working capital management across the group.You will lead the forecasting process, working closely with business control and commercial departments.You’ll contribute to risk management and help shape the internal control framework.You’ll handle complex financial topics, including inventory valuation and business case preparation.What do you bring ?
You have a strong track record in financial consolidation and reporting, ideally in an international environment.You have experience in improving and setting up finance processes that align with business strategy.You are familiar with monthly and yearly closings, management reporting, and the preparation of annual financial statements.You have experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Navision or SAP is a plus.Experience with ERP implementation projects is considered an advantage.You hold a master in finance, economics, or accountancy, preferably with an RA qualification.You bring at least 5 to 8 years of experience in a financial management role.You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.You communicate effectively in both Dutch and English .You have a hands-on, practical mentality and enjoy making things work.You have a strong affinity with IT systems and data-driven analysis.What do we offer you?
