Systems Verification Engineer – Defence Projects

Our client, a renowned player in the Dutch maritime and defence sector, is looking for a Systems Verification Engineer to strengthen their Verification, Validation & Acceptance (VV&A) team. You’ll start your career on the F126 project — a next-generation combat ship for the German Navy — and ensure that all technical requirements are fully validated from concept to final delivery.
What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) across multiple systems.
- Decompose and manage system requirements, linking them to specific design documents and verification methods.
- Develop and document Verification Cases (VeCs) and Test Cases (TeCs) to ensure traceability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, Test & Integration, and the client to agree on system specifications and test strategies.
- Provide clear evidence for Means of Compliance , including document reviews, simulations, and physical testing.
- Support progressive system acceptance and contribute to milestone achievements.
What you bring
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or similar).Experience in systems verification , systems engineering , or requirements management .Familiarity with V-model, Configuration Management, and VV&A in high-tech or regulated environments.Understanding of class-regulated products (e.g. naval, defence, or aerospace).Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).Structured mindset, stakeholder-focused, and quality-conscious.Due to the military nature of the projects :
