About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Director, you’ll help ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across our international operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment. If you prefer Excel over Word and are passionate about financial accuracy, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and process financial data from our international subsidiaries
  • Manage monthly closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis
  • Prepare accurate general ledger entries and ensure timely financial reporting
  • Analyze monthly financial performance (including gross margins) and collaborate with local finance teams
  • Address internal and external inquiries in a professional, timely manner
  • Identify, document, and implement improvements in accounting policies and procedures
  • Participate in special projects and cross-departmental initiatives
  • Support interim and annual financial audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Solid technical accounting background is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP (experience with IFRS is a plus)
  • Experience with or knowledge of Unit4 (preferred)
  • Eager to understand and adapt to international GAAP and tax frameworks
  • Fluent in Dutch and English , written and spoken
  • Excellent Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures
  • Structured, service-driven, and able to perform under pressure
  • Hands-on mentality, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Analytical thinker with a positive, energetic mindset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with Unit4
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
