The role
In this role you willcollaborate closely with International Transport and Planning Managers acrossEurope, Sales & Operations Team and asset management to drive the executionof transport and planning strategies. Your responsibilities include overseeinga dedicated and multicultural onsite team, ensuring task clarity, prioritizingexecution, coaching for optimal performance, and managing budgets whileadhering to SHEQ policies and legislation.
Regarding the transportexecution, you will focus on crafting and overseeing transport plans for astreamlined and efficient transportation process. You'll engage in dailyoperational reporting, collaborative planning with transport organizers, andeffective communication with transport procurement to address issues withtransporters.
Your expertise willextend to operational network and international transport planning, aligningplans with cost and service level expectations. This involves managingcross-regional plans, coordinating central and local organizations, andconducting continuous performance analysis for improvement.
Beyond these coreresponsibilities, you'll play a vital role in coordinating supply chainprojects at the divisional level. This entails implementing operational plans,fostering collaboration between central and local organizations, lead thedevelopment of our IT landscape to ensure the translation from Tactical toOperational Planning and providing management information to the InternationalOperations Manager.

Continuous evaluationof forecast quality and master data to optimize planning efficiency will be akey aspect of your role. You'll conduct forecast reviews, actual evaluations,and contribute insights to budget and forecast updates, ensuring efficientplanning that aligns with customer needs, KPI’s and optimizes costs.
In our fast-pacedenvironment, you'll also be hands-on, ready to step in when needed, whetherit's assisting with daily operations or checking forecast data to support yourteam.
This is a key positionin our organization where you need to manage various stakeholder and lots of real-time-datafrom different departments. Therefore, you have a proven track record instakeholder management. Furthermore, you know how to manage and analyze lots ofdata and can interpret the data to align transport and logistics initiativeswith organizational objectives. Moreover, you have excellent communicationskills, a good understanding of transport and logistics, and a strategicmindset.
