Position Overview : As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work at the forefront of healthcare technology, helping to develop state-of-the-art embedded and PC software for Philips’ advanced medical systems. This role sits within Innovation Engineering, a central competency team that collaborates closely with cross-functional departments to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare.

You will leverage your expertise in embedded systems and PC applications to support the development and testing of high-performance medical devices. An entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability to changing technologies, and a focus on continuous improvement will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C / C++ for medical devices.
• Develop PC-based applications for production testers using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across innovation engineering, electronics, and IoT departments.
• Integrate software components into high-performing systems and ensure they meet customer needs and quality standards.
• Perform system debugging, functional simulation, and system-level testing.
• Contribute to clean, maintainable, and testable codebases using object-oriented design principles.
• Lead or support process and technology improvement initiatives within the software development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose their adoption where beneficial.
