Production Engineer (SPC - Soy Protein Concentrate)
Aim of the position :
As a production engineer you are responsible for the supervision and improvement of the dedicated production unit throughout
- Development and coaching of production employees, operators (and truck loaders) on the basis of KPI’s
- Organization of supply chain (vs. production needs)
- Team scheduling
- Employee Absence management
- Organize training for production employees in coordination with the shift supervisor
- Keeping up-to-date of process descriptions and work instructions

Main Responsibilities :
Determining the team planning (schedule) based on both individual qualifications as contracted hours of internal and contracted employeesDrive effective performance management throughout department process (including goal setting, development and strengths-based feedback) focused on building competent and motivated team to achieve discretionary performance. Conduct annual performance appraisals and where applicable employee disciplinary meetings.Align to the location strategy and goals and cascade it down. Share input with the Superintendent on necessary functional change. Act as a change facilitator.Assessing the overall production planning, coordinating with superintendent, process engineer and maintenance department in case of major malfunctions and (major) maintenance to be planned;Check the compliance with the work instructions and (administrative) procedures, rules and regulations in the field of the environment, safety and wellbeing.Coordinate maintenance activities by interrupting / shutting down production in case of serious shortcomingsAssure up-to-date documents, procedures and work instructionsPromoting quality thinking on the production floor, addressing employees about deviant behavior and not complying with agreements / procedures.Ensure in cooperation with the process engineers that the process department, deliver related production on a cost effective and timely basis to achieve results.Collaborate with manager and relevant stakeholders on production needsReport performance in agreed format and frequencyExecute sickness leave programOrganize processing aids, packaging materials etc.Execute / participate in audits and walk the linesSkills :
Good problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approachStrong communication skills and an excellent team playerFluent in Dutch, English (B1 level)General knowledge of software applicationsAble to perform under pressureAdditional Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the fields of Chemistry, Food Processing, Production Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, or other related field2 to 3+ years of experience in production / process, preferably in chemical, food or feed productionWhy it feels good to work for ADM
