For our Plant in Eijsden (NL), we are looking for a HSE Manager.
Purpose of the role :
Animate the HSE activities of the plant, together with the Plant Mgr and the management team. Prepare, formulate and implement all needed HSE policies, rules and improvement action plans, to ensure alignment and compliance on both company and legal obligations.
Main responsibilities :
The HSE Manager is responsible for modernizing, keeping up-to-date and implementing systems and policies aimed at working conditions, safety and the environment. This also includes actually making practical adjustments in the plant, such as modern safety stairs and extraction installations to mitigate the released substances. He / she takes the lead in creating a work culture focused on safety and health. The manager also sees to it that the organization takes its responsibility and conforms to the applicable rules, regulations and standards. The responsibility includes the plant in Eijsden, where he / she works very closely with the counterpart of the plant in Heusden-Zolder (B). The HSE Manager directs the environmental coordinator and reports to the Plant Manager.
To fill this position, we are looking for an experienced or ambitious HSE Manager, preferably with a background in the (manufacturing or process) industry focused on paint, plastics or other high-quality materials. The person is able to take things to a higher level and plays an active role in this. This means that on the one hand the Manager can switch to a higher level of abstraction and is also able to implement things independently. The Manager is also open to a proactive collaboration with his colleagues in Belgium in order to work towards one system together. Furthermore, the person is communicatively strong, solution-oriented and steadfast. There is no doubt that the person complies with the laws and regulations and does not make any concessions.
