As an Integration Engineer for PropulsionSystems, your primary responsibility will be to design andintegrate propulsion systems into our naval projects throughout theengineering phase. You will have the opportunity to be involvedfrom the proposal stage, contributing to the definition andselection of viable propulsion configurations andcomponents.

In thisrole, you will collaborate closely with the Purchasing departmentto procure propulsion components during the Basic Engineeringphase. You will also ensure that these components are effectivelyintegrated with the vessel's platform. During the DetailedEngineering phase, you will take part in Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT) and develop installation and alignment procedures for thepropulsion components. Additionally, you will provide productionsupport during installation, as well as during Sea TrialVerification (STW), Harbour Acceptance Testing (HAT), and SeaAcceptance Testing (SAT).

Key Responsibilities

As an Integration Engineer for Propulsion Systems,your main tasks will involve :

Developing functional technical specificationsfor suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and designrequirements.
Conductingtechnical evaluations of supplier quotations in collaboration withthe purchasing team.
Ensuringfull compliance with all relevant requirements set by customers andregulatory bodies while engaging in technical discussions withcompeting suppliers.
Acquiring and reviewing engineering information and documentationfrom suppliers, including mechanical drawings, schematics,calculations, and electrical diagrams.
Overseeing the integration of deliveredcomponents and systems into the ship design, while coordinatingwith internal departments, suppliers, regulatory bodies, andowners.
Creating technicaland functional specification documents, including systemdescriptions, installation and alignment procedures, as well as HATand SAT procedures.
Validating the technical performance of products and systemsthrough dynamic simulations, equipment inspections at supplierlocations, FATs, and during onboardinstallation.
Contributing tothe ongoing development of the engineeringdepartment.

Functie-eisen

To succeed as an Integration Engineer forPropulsion Systems, you should have the following qualificationsand attributes :

ABachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent workexperience.

Experience andknowledge in propulsion systems, particularly within navalshipbuilding, offshore, or commercial shipbuildingsectors.

Proficiency inEnglish, with Dutch language skills being a plus, both spoken andwritten.

Competencies incustomer focus, quality and results orientation, teamwork,adaptability, planning and organization, management control,decisiveness, and initiative.

Strong references are essential, as a pre-employment securityscreening is a standard part of our recruitmentprocess.

Important :

Candidates must possess permanent EU citizenshipand a valid passport. Those with only an NL / EU work visa or holdingboth EU and non-EU citizenship / passports are not eligible due tothe military nature of ourprojects.
