Head of Business Intelligence

Join Allianz Benelux as the Head of Business Intelligence within our Data Office, where you'll lead a dynamic team of data analysts and BI experts. This pivotal role is focused on driving and delivering high-impact business intelligence projects that enhance the understanding of financial performance across Allianz Benelux’s value chains. You will leverage an industrialized, modern data platform stack to transform data into actionable insights, fostering strategic decision-making across the organization.

As the Head of Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for leading a team comprising 5 internal FTEs and up to 10 external specialists, depending on project needs. Your mission is to acquire a deep understanding of the business and build strong relationships with the Life / P&C leadership teams and other key stakeholders, including IT, AZ Tech, and DPO. Through effective stakeholder management and communication, you will prioritize your team's efforts to deliver meaningful impact through high-impact analytical projects. Collaborating closely with data engineers, architects, scientists, and governance experts, you will drive the enablement of managed business intelligence self-servicing across Allianz Benelux’s data domains, developing scalable and innovative information marts and solutions.

What Will You Do?

Build strong working relationships with business leaders, acquiring a deep understanding of operations across Benelux.

Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze business constraints and opportunities, prioritizing efforts for impactful solutions.

Develop a strong grasp of the data environment, including back-end systems and local data hubs.

Prioritize deliverables to maximize value and drive the creation of a future roadmap of solutions.

Attract, build, and develop a team of data analysts aligned with business demands.

Oversee the technical delivery of solutions, ensuring adherence to milestones and budget.

What We're Looking For :

You have an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, or economics. With relevant leadership experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and data warehousing, particularly in insurance, banking, or telecom. You are well-equipped to lead business-critical projects. You possess expertise in handling large, complex data sets and have prior experience in insurance or a related field. Your technical skills include proficiency in SQL, Data Warehouses, and BI platforms like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker. You excel in leadership and team management, change management, communication and stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
