What will you be doing as a Test Engineer?
- Test preparation : After the daily stand-up, you join a refinement session to discuss acceptance criteria for key changes. You provide guidance to your team on what to focus on during testing.
- Problem-solving : At 11 : 00 AM, you review incoming bug reports, such as a malfunctioning API. Together with a colleague, you investigate the issue and ensure a swift resolution.
- Writing test scenarios : After lunch, you work on drafting test scenarios for the upcoming sprint, ensuring clear documentation.
- Reviewing existing tests : You check existing test scenarios and update outdated ones.
Additional Responsibilities as a Test Engineer
Setting priorities : You decide which tasks take precedence. If there’s an issue with an integration, you address it immediately in consultation with the developers.Collaboration with developers : When an integration fails a test, you brainstorm solutions together.Sharing expertise : You share your testing vision and improvement ideas with the organization, contributing to the evolution of the testing process.Requirements
Your Profile as a Test Engineer
Strong communication skills, both with technical specialists and the business.A critical and analytical mindset.Experience with test automation.Experience with Agile and / or DevOps teams is a plus.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Cypress, Playwright, BrowserStack, and Jira.Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps is desirable.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch.Benefits
