Bonatti Dutch Branch has been established in November 2023 and engages in the Porthos CO2 Project for the construction of a compression station to stock CO2 in an empty gas field in the North Sea. The project will last till April 2026, and it will involve approximately two hundred people. This project falls under a general strategy of environmental and climate change, which will lead the Port of Rotterdam to reach the Zero emission target. The position will be based at the Maasvlakte2, the Netherlands. Quality (QA / QC) Inspector Mechanical Job Description Job Description : Performing inspection and supervision of the mechanical Activity installation and testing activities carried out on the construction sites and / or Subcontractor's work scopes in accordance with approved subcontractors ITP inspection points and related notifications. Ensuring that Mechanical activities are carried out internally or by Sub-contractor are in accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, and relevant codes & Standards to review the relevant document prior to start of construction e.g. ITP, Project specification, etc. Duties and Responsibilities : Planning and manage the work load. Implementation of quality plan for this project, which include inspection, testing and proper documentation and ensure that all works complied with Client / Contractor issued (IFC) drawing, applicable standards and specification. Implementing coverage of proper installation, Piping, Equipment and related support, Ensure that all related inspection and testing activities with regards to Environment, Health & Safety procedures and maintenance rules are respected. Monitor the performance of construction to ensure the respect of work standards and project specifications. Perform proactive surveillance inspection to minimize or avoid discrepancy and nonconformance rectification cost and time. Coordinate and assist construction to resolve any encountered problems related to inspection and testing activities to meet schedule and avoid any delay of activities. Initiate remedial or corrective action based on standard, code, and specification and verify the closure of NCR (Non Conformity Report). Inspect and witness the construction works as per their approved Inspection Test Plan. Invite Client / Contractor for witness and hold points in Inspection / Test. Ensure the effective coordination with the client related to inspection, testing activities and documentation. Ensure the implementation of Contractual Inspection and Tests. Prepare internal punch list and coordinate with the construction prior for inspection. Coordinate with the client for punch list closure and final acceptance. Witness and liaise with vendor / contractor for any related electrical equipment testing activities. Maintain all Quality Control Report. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. Make sure the activities are conducted in strict respect of the Health and Safety project requirements and other HSE applicable standards. Professional Skill : Awareness of construction sequences for all disciplines. Ability to support construction sequences planning , including the scheduling of the activities, in order to ensure the achievement of mechanical completion in respect of the schedule and the final handover. Knowledge of Quality Management System fundamentals and ISO 9001 standard to approach correctly all quality matters and to manage improvement actions. Capability to use quality-related methodologies at a system level. Knowledge of project quality activities, plans and procedures. For complex projects ability to coordinate the project quality activities through definition and monitoring of implementation of Project Quality Plan, Quality Control Plans and Project Quality Procedures by the project team, guaranteeing compliance with contractual requirements Full knowledge of quality inspection activities. Ability to supervise inspections on multidisciplinary items. Knowledge of main Industry standards applicable to the specific product, gained through their application during design / installation / construction activities. Ability to apply norms for monodisciplinary activities in simple contexts. Knowledge of activities related to control of instrument calibration. Capability to control, calibrate and adjust complex tools, complex instruments and other complex measuring and testing devices used in activities affecting quality. Capability to protect the simple instrumentation from damage or deterioration during handling, use or maintenance. Identification of the proper way to store materials and equipment, following the project procedures and the MSDS prescriptions, for standard and hazardous materials. Basic knowledge of main anticorrosion and pipe weight coating systems depending on design and operative conditions, capability of understanding a Standard / Company Specification and general knowledge of main subcontractor / coating plants used by Bonatti. Work Experience : At least 8-10 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control, including 5 years’ experience in quality management of construction projects. Understanding of O & G documentation and specification review, Mechanical Completion procedure and commissioning ie ITP, ITR, Punch list and Dossier. Computer Knowledge : Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PWS, Outlook and Auto CAD is required. Working knowledge and proficiency in computers essential program and software.
