Junior Piping Designer

Fluor Consultants BV is focused on developing long term relationships with customers in revamping, debottlenecking and expanding the production capacity of their existing facilities in the Process Industry in the Southwest of the Netherlands. The Bergen op Zoom, Rotterdam and Stein offices provide the full project execution services : from conceptual engineering through commissioning and construction support.

Basic Job Requirements

As a jr. Piping Designer you are working in a multi-disciplinary work environment. Within the project team it is your strength to translate the process diagram into a well-thought-out plant layout and make the design visually available to all parties involved, therefore you use 2D and 3D software tools.

Based on process engineering data, equipment information and the specific piping engineering and design standards, you can come up with a well-ordered plant layout and piping design. In this creative design process, you take your practical insight, knowledge and experience with regard to construction, plant operation, maintenance as the basis in your plant design.

Starters and graduates will participate in the piping traineeship. The piping traineeship is a 3-year Fluor program in which, in addition to the daily work, you are trained to become a sr. piping designer by means of in- and external courses. An independent sr. Mentor will be assigned to starters and graduates for intensive professional guidance and toes can turn to and to have a sounding board where you with problems during their training period. Because of the work experience the mentor has gained, he is a soundboard to which you can turn with problems during their training period.

Other Job Requirements

• MBO or HBO WTB or equivalent
• Candidates shall be fluent in both Dutch and English.

Written and oral communication with our clients is as well in Dutch as English.
