What will be your role?

Junior Finance Manager is responsible for leading the overall corporate financial management of the Surexport Group's subsidiaries in the Netherlands, ensuring financial stability, maximising profitability and supporting strategic decision making. His / her main mission is to ensure efficient financial operations, regulatory compliance and optimisation of resources to contribute to the sustained growth of the company.

Functions and tasks of the position :

1. Economic-Financial Management :

Accounting / Administration :

a)       Management and supervision of the accounting and administrative processes of the country's companies.

b)      Preparation of financial statements in accordance with local legislation, and reporting in accordance with the requirements of the group.

c)       Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements.

Tax :

a)       Manage the fiscal and tax obligations of the company.

b)      Preparation of tax reporting in accordance with the Group's criteria.

c)       Ensuring compliance with tax and legal regulations in all business operations.

Treasury and Financial Debt :

a)       Preparation of the annual treasury and financial debt budget according to the needs of the company.

b)      Elaboration of the company's short-term cash flow forecasts.

c)       Cash management

d)      Management of relations with financial institutions for the management of credit and lines of financing.

2. Management Control :

  • Drawing up the company's business plan and annual budget, in accordance with Group guidelines.
  • Periodically prepare the company's management and analytical control reporting, in accordance with the Group's criteria.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Support business managers with the appropriate analytical information for the management process and operational decision making.
  • Participate in the definition of the corporate strategy, assessing the financial impact of business decisions.

3. Purchasing :

  • Drawing up the purchasing budget in collaboration with the rest of the company's units and planning the annual purchasing management.
  • Establishing the purchasing processes for the different categories of articles, and identifying the appropriate suppliers for each category of material or service.
  • Managing the purchasing process : technical specifications of materials and services, approval of suppliers, process of requesting bids and awarding orders, all in accordance with the corporate policies of transparency and code of good conduct.
  • Preparation of reports and cost analysis of purchases, in order to optimise the process and search for the best purchasing alternative in terms of quality-price.
  • 4. Information Technology (IT) :

  • Collaborate with the corporate IT department in the identification of the needs of information systems in the company, and in their adaptation to the fiscal or legal requirements of the country of implementation.
  • Collaborate and assist in the implementation of corporate systems in the company : production systems, warehousing and logistics, commercial systems, and corporate processes.
  • Manage the local technological support to the different operational and business units of the company.
  • 5. Legal :

  • Collaborate in legal aspects related to corporate law affecting the company : administrative bodies, powers of attorney and powers of attorney, legal representation, etc....
  • Liaise with local legal advisors, under the guidelines and supervision of the corporate legal department, for any legal claims affecting the company or its employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with local legal regulations in all business operations.
  • Requirements :

    What are the requirements for this position?

  • A Degree / Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Knowledge of Power Query / Power BI / Tableau / QlikView data analysis tools.
  • Between 4 and 6 years of experience working in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in agri-food sector companies would be desirable.
  • High level of English (C1).
  • Spanish and Duth would be desirable (level B1).
