Manufacturing Engineer

The successful candidate will have an MBO technical background in a relevant area (mechanics, electronics), be a motivating team player who can build bridges, and possess persuasiveness. Continuous improvement, process change, and setup should be in your veins.

Responsibilities

• Successful transfer of new products / product updates from R&D to operations (both internal and external).
• During the introduction phase, responsible for the completeness of the TPD, parts lists, yield goals, test coverage ratio analyses, DFx.
• During the NPI phase, monitor product and process quality and, if needed, have products / processes changed / updated, with the end goal of getting products ready for volume production against set yield goals.
• Voice of operations at tollgate reviews / milestone meetings.
• Does not perform product changes / TPD changes yourself; this will always be R&D responsibility.
• Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of production processes, both directly (e.g., work instructions / tooling) and indirectly (workshop setup, e.g., 5S, supply chain setup, e.g., make / buy decisions / phantoms).
