For our client, a worldwide famous FMCG Company, we are looking for a Formulation Scientist / Procuct Developer to join the team in Wageningen.

Offer :

  • Contract of 1 year, extension possible
  • Salary between 3500 euro and 4500 euro,depending on experience
  • Start Date : 24 March 2025

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support / Deliver formulation workstream in New Tech projects
  • Help to execute the Net Zero roadmap for the Butcher
  • Support development work on root-cause analysis and systematic screening of solutions for product design emergencies or complex challenges that require a mix of development work and scientific understanding / measurements
  • Develop product formulations according to the business product design brief, processability and safety requirements
  • Perform product and ingredient physical-chemical analyses according to needs
  • Ensure high quality documentation of work in available software systems
  • Where possible : in silico first approach (start with computer and later go to the kitchen) using available tools, predictive models
  • To support implementation of approved formulation in the sourcing unit through pilot plant and plant trials
  • To ensure the compliance to the Unilever Code of Business Principles and all SHE and QA policies, including the support of product claims, risk management and environmental awareness & legislation.
  • To support implementation of new technologies in the sourcing unit through pilot plant and plant trials
  • To support with technical information in case of need to protect technology / formulation

  • To contribute to group and site culture and team building
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Education : HBO, Master’s degree in the area of Food Technology / Chemical Engineering / Process
  • Engineering or related

  • Preferred : Minimum 1 years of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with Texturized Vegetable Proteins and / or Meat Processing as an
  • advantage.

  • Technical mindset applied to solutions, eye for detail, and analytical thinking.
  • Willingness to work in a multi-functional, multi-cultural environment,
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English
  • Pro-active mindset, being digitally ‘savvy’
  • Project management skills in a high pace
