Senior front-end developer

What will you do as a front-end developer?

Building user interfaces, to name just one thing. Each microservice has its own front-end. The microservices ultimately come together to form a single product. What will you build? In Vue.js, supported by a Java backend and deployed by Kubernetes in a Docker container. With your knowledge and experience, you will contribute to the next step in the development of TOPdesk software. How? By applying your vision and direction to the front-end architecture, your specific technical expertise, or coaching skills to enhance the abilities of other developers.

Working on your own development? 10 to Grow! You can use 10% of your working time to work on your own projects and progress, and you also receive 10% of your annual salary as a training budget. Making games? Taking courses? Utilize your time for your own interests and experiments.

Where will you be located?

At the TOPdesk office in Tilburg! You will work in a multidisciplinary agile team at the second TOPdesk location. You will have regular contact with DevOps engineers and other departments. Designing and implementing? It’s a collaborative process in which you also contribute. You can also voice your opinions in the front-end guild, where you, along with other developers, determine the overall front-end direction of the product.

In the fast-paced world of development, it’s important to stay up to date with the latest advancements. How do we do that? By regularly giving presentations and sharing knowledge. But most importantly, by attending conferences such as Devoxx and JSWorld. Do you have a fantastic suggestion? Bring it on!

Are you our new front-end developer?

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• You are innovative and well-informed about state-of-the-art developments in our field
• You have experience with JavaScript (and / or TypeScript), CSS / SCSS, bundlers like webpack or vite, and a reactive framework such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Good communication skills in English
• Natural curiosity to solve complex problems
• You have experience with modern front-end development methods with a focus on accessibility and test automation
• You are capable of creating technical designs that consider the bigger picture

Nice to have :

• You enjoy sharing new knowledge with your less experienced colleagues
• You have some experience with Web Components
• You have experience with Java or another object-oriented language
• You have experience with Micro Service architectures
• You have experience with improving development processes
• You help us unlock new possibilities with specific technical expertise
