About the job
The Automation Development department maintains and creates tooling for multidisciplinary automation solutions for products within BU Heat and Gas Systems with primary focus on environmental solutions for marine vessels.
Currently Alfa Laval is looking for a motivated and results-oriented person with a deep understanding of software architecture and software development methodologies.
Your daily tasks are :
- Working on software development for our Alfa Laval systems.
- Developing user interfaces for our systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate software development velocity with increased quality.
- Understand the complexities involved in the development of software.
- Designing system integration tests, setting up CI / CD pipelines to test our software.
- Proactively automate processes wherever necessary.
- The nature of the position requires you to possess excellent analytical and debugging skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to make a difference.
- Working with cyber security of our systems.
Who you are
You are a creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
Further, you have :
- University degree or Bachelor of Engineering (e.g. / Computer Science / Embedded Systems / Industrial Automation) (MSc, MEng, BSc, BEng).
- Experience with Python, JavaScript and / or TypeScript : at least enough experience with one to be able to independently work with it.
- Experience with Git.
- Knowledge of object orientation basics and best practices.
- Knowledge of Angular, HTML / CSS - is a plus
- Having experience with C++, Azure DevOps and scrum is a plus.
- Exposure to PLCs (Structured Text, B&R), related standards and terminology (ISA88, PackML, OPC UA) is a plus
- Good communicative skills.
