Job description :

The professional in this role leverages technical requirements to plan, design, implement and manage monitoring solutions implemented in Azure and / or AWS cloud.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS :

Design and implement SRE capabilities to ensure stability and auditability of the systems, as well as to identify improvement opportunities in existing platforms (DWH, EV Web) and new data platforms (SSA, Data Analytics). This includes the evolution and general maintenance of the existing monitoring dashboard of the DWH Platform based on AWS CloudWatch.

Support with the execution of the technology selection process for an enterprise monitoring platform, already initiated in the present contract and that will need continuation. Specifically, the engineer will be required to engage with vendors, design and execute PoCs, evaluate their solutions from different perspectives and support the decision making process of the technology selection.

Ultimately the engineer shall understand and analyse platform requirements (availability, reliability, maintainability, operations, etc.) and translate them into sound monitoring architecture, designs and processes.

Apply standards and corporate best practices to ensure quality of the deliverables.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE :

Proven working experience on platform monitoring

Definition of monitoring architecture for cloud applications on AWS and / or Azure;
Implementation of monitoring tools and best practices for platform health monitoring, business monitoring, audit & logging;
Experience with AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor;
Experience with other monitoring tools available in the market;
Experience with CI / CD, Infrastructure as Code and general DevOps practices;
Experience with Oracle Databases, WebLogic, Oracle Data Integrator, OBIEE and Linux.

Role specific skills, competencies & responsibilities :

Support I-SP-IPA platform architects in the realisation of the platform. Indicative duties of a successful candidate will be to :

Implementation of PoCs validating architecture and design of monitoring solutions;

Document best practices and establish monitoring guidelines;

Investigate technical issues and support implementation teams.

Ability to report to senior managers, concisely and effectively, the status, progress and action required for the successful execution of the given tasks;

Rational and analytical approach to problem solving;

Critical thinking and structured approach to problem solving;

Excellent verbal and written skills in English;

Pharmaceuticals industry business domain knowledge .

Technology Specific Requirements

In depth experience implementing monitoring based on Azure and AWS native monitoring tools.

Professional qualifications

University Degree in Information Systems or similar is desirable

One of the certifications below (or equivalent) :

Microsoft Certified : Azure DevOps engineer expert

Oracle infrastructure DevOps professional

AWS certified DevOps engineer

Site reliability engineer certifications

Level : Senior (15 years of IT Experience)

Only Eu Citizens

Delivery mode : Hybrid (Amsterdam and remote from Europe), Initial Contract of 92 days offsite, 18 days onsite. Onsite allocation can be agreed between both parties.
